We are pleased to share that our manuscript entitled “Selective targeting of cortactin tandem repeat acetylation by human lysine deacetylases” has been accepted for publication in The FEBS Journal. The study provides detailed biochemical insight into site-specific cortactin deacetylation and identifies HDAC6, together with SIRT1 and SIRT2, as direct regulators of cortactin acetylation using a fully reconstituted in vitro system. This work highlights the power of biochemical reconstitution and genetic code expansion to dissect complex acetylation networks.
